This is my 2nd of a series on this abandoned red barn that is a remnant of days past amidst a brand new subdivision by a school I worked at. I trudged through the overgrown field after school one day to photograph it from all angles and find the beautiful details to emphasize in my paintings. The peeling paint, sweet yellow detail amidst a tangle of weedy overgrowth, scattered materials and a lovely tin awning made this an irresistible detail to paint!
